Alabama Beauty & Barbering College

Built on family values, in 1984 we opened the doors at our location in Decatur on 14th Street.  Babette's parents opened the first local school for beauty in town.  They relocated from Chicago to give their family the opportunity to thrive in what was then, small town America.  Since then, the business has stayed in the family, where Babette has run the day-to-day operations and trained and graduated  THOUSANDS of students since the beginning.  
Her son, Shawn, was an instructor and taught students up until his passing.   Since then, and the trials and tribulations with COVID, the school is thriving, providing young and not-so-young with the skills to learn a new career.
